SPARS LA Luncheon sponsored by
West LA Music & SSL

SPARS held their Los Angeles luncheon on July 22, 2008. The event, attended by
Southern California studio members, was sponsored by
West L.A. Music and Solid State Logic .
      
SPARS President Leslie Ann Jones welcomed members and guests to the meeting,
which included presentations by West L.A. Music's George Adjieff, and SSL's Director
of Commercial Applications Chris Jenkins.  Chris Jenkins discussed the design
philosophy of SSL's latest offering, Matrix , a 16 fader 40 input super analog
console with the ability to control four simultaneous workstations.

Also in attendance were Jeff Greenberg, SPARS Past President and operator of the
Village Recording Studios in West Los Angeles, Paula Salvatore, Director of Capitol
Studios in Hollywood, Val Garay, Producer and five-time Grammy winner, Phil Wagner,
President of Solid State Logic, Don Griffin, president of West L.A. Music, and Sinbad,
legendary entertainer and comic.

SPARS' membership includes audio recording and mastering facilities, manufacturers,
engineers, and multimedia specialists - everyone from single-operator studios to large
multi-room facilities.

SPARS, P&E Wing & Transaudio NAB Mixer

SPARS mixed it up with members of the Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers
Wing and other fellow industry attendees at The Hilton Hotel during NAB / Las Vegas
in April 2008. The reception was sponsored by the P&E Wing, Transaudio
Group and
SPARS. Food, familiar faces and free-flowing beverages made this evening a great
night for catching up with friends and associates.
