Tara Murtha, Entertainment writer for the Philadelphia Weekly recently interviewed one of the original founders of SPARS and its first President, Joe Tarsia, about his participation in the industry and the changes that have occurred over the years in the way music is created. Tarsia owned the legendary Philadelphia studio, Sigma Sound, which for almost 50 years was responsible for 150 gold and platinum records as well as greatly contributing to the "Philly Sound," so popular during the era.
SPARS is the 30 year old non profit association representing professionals in the Recording Industry. The organization is dedicated to providing networking, education and community to its members and the industry as a whole. For more information click the picture or the link below.
