Attending BADASS in Boston

SPARS participating in BADASS in BostonSPARS participated in the Boston Area Definitive Audio Student Summit (BADASS) held at the New England Institute of Art in Boson on October 1, 2011. Kirk Imamura from SPARS manned the SPARS table in the exhibitor’s room and SPARS’ Mark Rubel gave a class on “Wacky Drum Recording Techniques.” Hosted by John Krivit, the Education Committee Chair of the Audio Engineering Society, the event was designed to promote student membership and participation in AES. Participating manufacturers included Bose, PMC Speakers, SSL, Sennheiser, Pro Audio Design, Shure, Melodyne, Avid, AEA, Genelec, API, Mercenary Audio and many others. Presenters included Jim Anderson, Alex Case, Pete Peloquin, Jay Frigoletto, Sean McLaughlin, Dave Cantor, J Franze, Jon Pines, Brian McKeever, Steve Ward, Gary Gottlieb, Don Puluse, Sean Slade, Nelly Pro Tools and many others. The event was well attended by many students in the area. Kudos go to John Krivit for putting together a great event.
