David Glasser to present Digital Salon with Boulder Digital Arts

On February 2 David Glasser’s the featured presenter at Boulder Digital Arts’ first “Digital Salon”of 2012. Digital Salons are free and open to the public. In addition to the feature presentation, they offer networking with other creative professionals and beer.David will demonstrate the digital mastering tools and techniques he uses daily with an emphasis on the Grateful Dead’s massive release “Europe ’72: The Complete Recordings.” He’ll also be demonstrating digital audio file compression techniques that can either make or break your mobile/streaming audio files, a must for multimedia web creators.

Frank Marchand tracking and mixing Elikeh with special guests
Frank’s been cutting tracks for the next release from Elikeh, D.C.’s premier Afropop ensemble who have mastered with Charlie for years. Recently in the studio joining Elikeh was guest guitarist John Kadlecik from the Grateful Dead spin-off band Furthur.
Jon Gold settles into Mix B with a variety of mixing and mastering projects
After joining the Airshow team last summer, Jon Gold’s handled a wide variety of projects, both mixing and mastering. Jon is experienced on both sides of the glass as an award-winning songwriter and engineer.Jon’s flexibility continues to grow as he adds electronic music to his already long roster of styles. “I never dreamed I’d be working with electronic music. I love it,” says Jon. Each satisfied artist has led to another and Mix B now often bumps with four on the floor.

Dave masters latest release from Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer
When Dave Carter passed away in 2002, folk music lost a great soul and a superb singer/songwriter. Dave Glasser mastered all of Dave & Tracy’s CDs, so when Tracy asked Dave to master this CD of unreleased and demo material, he was thrilled. Fans of Dave Carter and great songwriting will not be disappointed. “Little Blue Egg” is out on Red House Records February 14.
Erik Deutsch returns to Dominick for the final polish on “Demonio Teclado”
Dominick worked with Erik on his latest release, due on February 28 via Hammer & String. Erik continued his tradition of assembling a stellar band, drawing on Colorado’s top-notch jazz pool to join his Brooklyn associates. The album was recorded live at engineer and bass player Jeff Hill’s Brooklyn studio to 8-track tape before mixes were sent to Dominick for the finishing touches.
