This seminar is specially suited for students, recent graduates and those interested in career advice. Hosted by SPARS in cooperation with AES, G.A.N.G., Post NY Alliance and other audio organizations, career related Q&A sessions will be offered to participants in a speed group counseling format. A dozen students will interact with 2-3 working professionals in specific audio engineering fields or categories every 15-minutes. Audio engineering fields / categories include record production, mastering, post, sound for film, gaming and live sound.

Hosted by SPARS, examples of recording studios that are expanding their business beyond traditional recording will be presented in a panel discussion format. There will be panelists representing three recording businesses, each with a unique business angle / strategy.
The panel discussion is intended for audio engineers who are currently running a recording business looking for ideas to expand their business, people who are considering starting a recording business or those who are interested in what new services recording businesses are offering now.
In addition, SPARS will have their booth at the exhibitor area, Booth #923. The exhibitor hours are:
Oct. 21: 10am – 6pm
Oct. 22: 10am – 6pm
Oct. 23: 10am – 4pm
We will have various activities scheduled at the booth (will be posted shortly). We will also be signing up new members on the spot for those interested in joining or renewing their membership. Schedules of our board members and other key members at the booth will be posted so you can talk to them directly.
