The TEC Foundation for Excellence in Audio has announced 144 Nominees for Outstanding Technical and Creative Achievement in professional audio, and is gearing up for the biggest, most exciting TEC Awards ever. To be held on Friday evening, January 14, the ceremony promises to be the signature event of The 2011 NAMM Show.
The 26th Annual TEC Awards will take place in a spectacular new venue—the Pacific Ballroom of the Anaheim Hilton. With a capacity of nearly 2,000 and featuring state of the art sound, lighting and video, this will be a TEC Awards not to be missed!
26th Annual TEC Awards Nominees —TEC Awards nominations were made by nearly 150 audio professionals in a variety of specialties. Awards will be presented in 17 categories of audio hardware and software (including 2 categories of Musical Instrument Technology) and 8 categories of audio production. Special highlights of the show will be the soon-to-be-announced Les Paul Award and TEC Hall of Fame induction and musical performances by the all-star 2Cold Chile Bone TEC Band and celebrity guest artists. Online voting begins on November 1, and voter registration is now open for members of various professional organizations, including the Producers & Engineers Wing® of the Recording Academy®, the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services (SPARS), NAMM, Motion Picture Sound Editors (M.P.S.E.), the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.), and qualified professionals subscribing to several audio industry trade publications. Voting will be closed after November 30.
