SPARS Sessions“When a Professional Studio is Needed”
The theme is the role of professional studios in the overall recording process.

We have seen an explosion of smaller project studios and much work can be accomplished in these studios. However, there comes a time when recording at a professional studio may become necessary. Featured in this summit are studio operators combined with artists, producers and engineers to discuss the role of professional studios and how they are selected and used.

Participants:
Tom Kenny, Editor, Mix Magazine
John Rzeznik, Goo Goo Dolls (Just added)
Joe Chicarelli, Producer / Engineer
Michael Lloyd, Producer / Engineer
Barak Moffitt, Executive Vice President, EMI Group
Jeff Greenberg (Village Recording Studios)
Jason Upright (Firehouse Recording Studios)
Ed Woolley (Firehouse Recording Studios)
Candace Stewart (EastWest Studios)
Dave Lichtenstein (25th Street Recording)
Kirk Imamura (Avatar Studios)

We are doing a show on Dec 22nd online at Kulaks Woodshed.com ….8-10pm….email donations for at-risk kid music programs that connect the arts, science, vocabulary, thinking and writing to learning and staying in school. See the show and send in paypal donations to cover cuts in after school, childcare, and arts programs …….

Send out the word round the audio world. We’d appreciate it. It’s vital to creating jobs, saving teachers, programs, and coping with all of it.

    Appreciatively,
